The free version of the foobar2000 controller is available here: [link]
Go to your foobar2000 preference, select "HTTP control" in the left hand menu (if you don't have it, you must first install the component). The default value in "listen to" should be 0.0.0.0 : 8888. If that is set and the button below is still greyed out, then manually set your IP address. Use command prompt (windows + r, type "cmd", hit enter) and type in "ipconfig", search for your ip-address and add the exact numbers in the "listen to"-field. You don't need to edit the port number, but if you do, just don't change it to 80, 25 or 443(if you use skype e.g.).
